Wake up calls come in all shapes and forms. For me, September 11th was the catalyst to live my life with deeper purpose and significance. I jumped off the corporate ladder and dove straight into training for massage therapy and ever since then, I’ve been overjoyed and grateful with the amazing success and happiness that has come my way. My choice to turn to the healing arts as a career was originally inspired by the life of my grandmother. I grew up watching her live with the debilitating affects and frustration that come with rheumatoid arthritis. I grew up a little heartbroken knowing that some people are trapped by their own bodies. The seed was planted.
It’s my passion to help people find the path to feeling great in their skin. Life’s too short to feel less than amazing!
Another profound inspiration for me is music and those that make it. The energy around dreamers is highly contagious so I created a niche market for myself as “Massage Therapist to the Rockstars”. I traveled to venues all around the Pacific Northwest working with artists and entertainers. The highlight of my career came in 2007 when I was asked to tour with Faith Hill as her personal massage therapist during her nation-wide Soul II Soul Tour.

Born an Army brat, I’m nomadic by nature. My heart skips a beat when my passport gets a new stamp. I’ve been known to live out of a backpack for months on end. Growing up all over the globe has given me a deep appreciation and sensitivity for our differences as well as our commonalities. The one thing that rings true regardless of where in the world I am is that people want to feel good in their skin. I am blessed to have a career that allows me to take my knowledge everywhere I go and to help you find that power that lies within to heal yourself. How mighty is that?
I hail from Portland, Oregon and I specialize in taming tension. A 2003 graduate of East-West College, I have owned my own body care practice in it’s many versions ever since. From a solo practice to a multi-therapist operation, from a boutique hotel massage program creator to a mobile practice touring with musicians, JenniJo.com is ever changing. Each step of the way I thank you for your continued support of my dream to help people feel amazing in their skin!
As a mom of twins, the logistics of my career are ever-changing as well! But they are my roadies and my crew and are both incredible massage therapists in their own right. Check out the first of it’s kind, customized #teenytinymobilespa, what I lovingly call The Peace Pod. Now, more of my time & energy can be focused on you, right at your doorstep!
